WEEK ONE – FOCUS IS ON PRAISE/THANKSGIVING FROM HOME AND CROSS-BORDERS MISSION FIELDS
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.

SATURDAY 1ST Praise God for his enduring love and faithfulness throughout last year. As the dawn breaks on a new year, let us give thanks for all we hold dear: our health, our family and our friends. Let us pray that the year 2022 will be filled with peace, prosperity and love. May God’s blessings shower upon you and bestow upon each of you a bright, prosperous, healthy and peaceful new year.
SUNDAY 2ND Praise God for the ministry of the Lees at EMS Retreat Center Rhizha, they are fully engaged in providing essential services for surrounding communities and relief for victims of the attacks on Yelwan Zangam community by Fulani militias. Ask the Lord to open the hearts of the people and cause them to see the light of his salvation through their efforts.
NOTE: EMS PRAYER AND FASTING DAY
FIRST (1ST) MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH IS TO BE OBSERVED INTERNATIONALLY AS EMS PRAYER AND FASTING DAY. THEREFORE, ALL EMS ARMS, MISSIONARIES, OFFICE STAFF, PRAYER PARTNERS AND SUPPORTERS SHOULD PLEASE ENDEAVOR TO JOIN THE EMS INTERNATIONAL HEAD OFFICE IN PRAYERS. WE JOIN FAITH AND TRUST GOD IN ONE ACCORD WITH BRETHREN AROUND THE WORLD FOR:
- A STEADY AND FRUITFUL GROWTH OF THE WORK OF MISSIONS,
- PEACE AND THE SALVATION OF NATIONS,
- FOR REVIVAL AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE CHURCH.
OUR COOPERATE PRAYER TIME AT THE HEAD OFFICE IS 8-9AM, N12-1PM, AND 3-4 PM RESPECTIVELY. YOU CAN JOIN US IN PRAYERS WHEREVER YOU MAY BE AT THOSE TIMES OR MAKE OUT TIME OF YOUR OWN CONVENIENCE AS YOU ARE LED BY GOD. PLEASE, ENDEAVORE TO PRAY ALONG AS YOU FAST.
MONDAY 3RD Praise God for his provision for the EMS Children School in Jos through the Bakaris, they organized a self defense training for the girl child against rape and molestation in the school. They also donated some food items to the school on behalf of their friends in the USA. Ask the Lord to bless them abundantly.
TUESDAY 4TH Appreciate God for the blessing of three additional new supporters from Kaltungo DCC for the South North East Region. Ask God to bless them and provide them with all the resources they will need to meet this commitment as well as the other needs they may have.
WEDNESDAY 5TH Praise God for his provision through Mr. Samuel Shaibu and Mr. Adam, who offered ECWA Ghana a portion of their lands at Yong and Zou Prayer Houses, ask God to bless their lives for their sacrificial giving.
THURSDAY 6TH Praise God for answered prayers, ECWA Kenya has been fully registered with the government of Kenya , the certificate of registration will soon be ready for collection, praise be to God!
FRIDAY 7TH EMS PARTNERS/SUPPOTERS: Praise God for the life of all our supporters and partners whom He has been using to keep this ministry going and fulfilling its mandate of spread spreading the gospel. As the Lord to bless them abundantly for all their sacrifice.
WEEK 2 – FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Colossians 4:2
SATURDAY 8TH EMS MANAGEMENT: As the new year kicks off, the EMS management will have a lot on their plates in terms of decision making and implementation as well as the overall coordination of the ministry and the various units they head. Ask the Lord to grant them wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit every step of the way.
SUNDAY 9TH EMS STAFF: Ask the Holy Spirit to empower the entire EMS workforce with wisdom and grace and to keep them in good health as they face the tasks ahead in this new year. Pray that they will be diligent in every responsibility and fully dedicate themselves to doing God’s will.
MONDAY 10TH EMS MEDICAL UNIT: Praise God for healing our missionaries who underwent surgery, one had to go to theatre twice but God delivered them all.
Pray for Mrs. Salome Haruna, who has been ill for quite sometime now, she needs money to run some diagnostic tests before she can begin the actual treatments. Ask the Lord to open doors and provide her with all that she needs.
TUESDAY 11TH EMS RETREAT CENTRE RHIZHA: Thank God for enabling the center to install CCTV cameras to improve security.
The Center is also planning and working towards starting a junior secondary school. Pray and trust God to make this vision a reality that will have a great impact on the lives of many.
WEDNESDAY 12TH EMS SCHOOLS: The mission field school in Furkutuma in Waja DCC, holds great potentials for growth, pray for God’s provision of all the resources that would be required to get the school up and running, so that more disadvantaged children will have the opportunity to attend school and also encounter Christ in the process.
THURSDAY 13TH FAR NORTH WEST REGION: Praise God for the success of the Missionaries’ and Coordinators’ Seminar held in Pisabu, Kebbi State. We fervently prayed unto God for the safe return of the daughter of one of our missionaries who was kidnapped by bandits, the Lord answered our prayers, the girl is safe with her family, praise the Lord!
FRIDAY 14TH MID CENTRAL REGION: Praise God for enabling our missionaries to witness to over 900 persons out of which 20 persons gave their lives to Christ while 110 rededicated their commitments to God. Pray that God’s grace will sustain them and cause them to stand firm in the faith.
WEEK THREE – FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24
SATURDAY 15TH SOUTH NORTH-WEST REGION: Appreciate the Lord for seeing us through 2021 and ushering us into the new year, pray that He will empower us with grace and wisdom to serve him fully in the course of this new year.
Pray for God’s divine healing upon Mrs. Luka Kuma in Kurmin Musa DCC and the father of Kabiru our missionary, who are battling with different health problems.
SUNDAY 16TH SOUTH EAST REGION: Praise God for the new converts that were added to the fold during an evangelism outreach last month. Ask God to uphold them in the faith and nurture them into spiritual growth.
Ask the Lord divinely touch one of our field school teachers with his healing hands. She has been battling with illness for quite a long time now.
MONDAY 17TH SOUTH NORTH-EAST REGION: Praise God the new converts recorded in the previous month, ask God to uphold them in the faith and cause them to grow in their walk with Him.
Some of our missionaries in the region are in need of motorcycles for effective ministry ask God to open doors for these crucial needs to be met.
TUESDAY 18TH NORTH CENTRAL REGION: The cry for more missionaries in some needy mission fields in the region is loud and clear, ask the Lord of the harvest to open doors for resources needed tto meet these urgent needs.
Many of our mission stations have embarked on church building projects in order to provide buildings for members to worship, pray that God will provide the resources needed to bring these projects to completion.
WEDNESDAY 19TH NORTH EAST REGION: Pray for our prayer house, Pandi Kame in Bore DCC, the secretary of the church was killed by Fulani herdsmen, ask God to comfort the family of the deceased and the community in general.
THURSDAY 20TH NORTH WEST REGION: Praise God for his sustenance upon our missionaries in the region despite the high level of insecurity, God has been faithful in keeping his promises.
Pray for the 28 new converts recorded in the previous month, ask God to uphold them in the faith.
WEEK 4 FOCUS– IS ON CROSS-BORDERS MISSION FIELDS
And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. 1 John 5:15
FRIDAY 21ST MID EAST REGION: Our missionaries in the region were able to witness to 902 persons in the previous month out of which 20 gave their lives to Christ while 110 rededicated their commitment to God. Pray that they will wax stronger in the faith and do great things for God’s kingdom here on earth.
SATURDAY 22ND FAR NORTH REGION: Pray for God’s protection on his people against attacks by armed bandits and kidnap gangs, especially in areas such as; Gidan Kyabu, Gidan Tsoro, Gidan Damo, and Gidan Sabo.
Ask the to Lord to heal some of our missionaries who are battling with different health problems especially Rev. Musa Mato who sustained injuries from an accident he was involved in.
SUNDAY 23RD CENTRAL REGION: Praise God for the safe delivery he granted the wives of two of our missionaries in Abaji DCC. Ask the Lord to bless the newborns and cause them to be a blessing to their parents and humanity in general.
Pray for open doors to roof the church at Gude, Kwoyi in Waru LCC and other mission station projects currently ongoing.
MONDAY 24TH ZAMBIA: Despite the conditions of the our churches in Zambia, the members are doing well and are supportive of the church leadership praise God.
Ask God to provide a means of mobility for the church for the country coordinator of the Zambian mission to facilitate the work of missions in the country.
TUESDAY 25TH BURKINA FASO: Appreciate God for the spiritual and numerical growth of the churches in Burkina Faso and for keeping all our missionaries in the country safe and sound and also for providing for their needs.
Ask the Lord to open doors for funds needed to acquire church lands and means of mobility for the Burkina Faso mission.
WEDNESDAY 26TH BURKINA FASO: Armed militias have continued to launch relentless attacks on communities in Burkina Faso, ask the Lord to intervene and bring lasting peace that comes from Jesus alone to the country.
THURSDAY 27TH NIGER REPUBLIC: Praise God for his faithfulness and protection over all our missionaries in Niger and for the significant improvement in the health of the Gados, who experienced lots of health challenges.
Praise God for the lives of Ali and Boubakar, they have been faithful members whom God is using greatly. They are both on the verge of enrolling in Bible School and Discipleship Training respectively, in 2022 ask the Lord to grant them openings and show them favour in these undertakings.
FRDAY 28TH GHANA: Praise God for adding four more persons to the church after they were baptized, ask the Lord to strengthen their faith in him and cause them to bear fruits for the kingdom.
There is a very crucial need to build prayer houses in Tamale, members continue to leave the church to other churches due to lack of church buildings, ask the Lord to open the gates of heaven and provide the resources needed to undertake these projects.
SATURAY 29Th MALAWI: Appreciate God for his sustenance upon all EMS of ECWA missionaries in Malawi and for the enablement to complete building the oven for burning bricks that got damaged previously.
Ask God to provide the funds needed for the Faith Building Project in Malawi as we trust Him to begin the development of the ECWA land in the city of Blantyre, the second largest city in Malawi.
SUNDAY 30TH BENIN REPUBIC: Appreciate God for the progress of the ministry of EMS of ECWA in all the three stations in Benin Republic and for the openings he granted the ministry to start and bring some field projects to completion.
Ask God to open doors for funds needed to facilitate the employment of a Beninese national for effectiveness of ministry in the country and for the purchase of a video projector for the Benin mission.
MONDAY 31ST NIGER REPUBLIC: Thank God for comfort to the family of Pastor Abdoulaye Chaibou who lost their beloved son, Siddo who has been a strong pillar in the church, he died in Christ this is the family’s comfort.
Pray for new converts, Annas and Hammadou, ask the Lord to grant them grace and strong conviction to stand firm in the faith and courage to publicly profess Christ without fear.
