EMS OF ECWA PRAISE AND PRAYER FOCUS, APRIL, 2022

FRIDAY 1ST  Dear Lord, as we step into the month of April, we ask you to go before us, to order our steps, guide our actions and protect us from every form of evil. Please Lord, renew our relationship with you this month, let your Holy Spirit come upon us afresh  in Jesus name.

SATURDAY 2ND  Praise God for the successful orientation and subsequent ordination of Rev. Joseph Musa and Rev. Yusuf Kwana. Rev. Joseph Musa and family have since touched down in Sierra Leone  where they have been deployed to establish ECWA and the ministry of EMS in the country.

SUNDAY 3RD   Appreciate the Lord for his blessings and provision for EMS through John and Karen Tanksley from the USA, who donated a handsome amount of money for all EMS staff. This thoughtful gesture has been received very well and it has gone a long way to cushion the effects of the current economic hardship. We thank  John and Karen for their kindness and pray that God will bless them abundantly and grant their heart desires .

MONDAY 4TH  Praise God for delivering one of our missionaries, Rev Danjuma Bature, serving in Zaria DCC, from the hands of kidnappers. He was kidnapped but the Lord intervened. While taking him to their camp, they miraculously dumped him in the bush after beating him up. He’s now receiving treatment in the hospital.

TUESDAY 5TH  Praise God for the improvement of the health of Rev. Bulus  Wambe, our missionary in Minna DCC who was critically, paralyzed and unable to speak. His condition is improving he has regained his ability to talk, ask the Lord to heal him completely.

 WEDNESDAY 6TH  Appreciate God for the safety the Lord granted the EMS Director and the EMS Cross Borders Coordinator during their visits to Kenyan, Malawian  and Zambian, Cross Borders Mission Fields. The testimonies they shared affirm that indeed the ministry of EMS is changing lives and transforming communities in all these countries to the glory and honor of God’s name.

NOTE EMS PRAYER AND FASTING DAY

FIRST (1ST) MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH IS TO BE OBSERVED INTERNATIONALLY AS EMS PRAYER AND FASTING DAY. THEREFORE, ALL EMS ARMS, MISSIONARIES, OFFICE STAFF, PRAYER PARTNERS AND SUPPORTERS SHOULD PLEASE ENDEAVOR TO JOIN THE EMS INTERNATIONAL HEAD OFFICE IN PRAYERS. WE JOIN FAITH AND TRUST GOD IN ONE ACCORD WITH BRETHREN AROUND THE WORLD FOR:

  • A STEADY AND FRUITFUL GROWTH OF THE WORK OF MISSIONS,
  • PEACE AND THE SALVATION OF NATIONS,
  • FOR REVIVAL AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE CHURCH.

OUR COOPERATE PRAYER TIME AT THE HEAD OFFICE IS 8-9AM, 12-1PM, AND 3-4 PM RESPECTIVELY. YOU CAN JOIN US IN PRAYERS WHEREVER YOU MAY BE AT THOSE TIMES OR MAKE OUT TIME OF YOUR OWN CONVENIENCE AS YOU ARE LED BY GOD. PLEASE, ENDEAVORE TO PRAY ALONG AS YOU FAST.

THURSDAY 7TH   Thank you for your prayers, the members of our Mission Field in Shiroro, Niger, who were kidnapped have been released, after a ransom was paid to the kidnappers. Praise God for his intervention and for the safe return of these members.

  WEEK 2 – FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS

The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry. (Psalm 34:15)

FRIDAY 8TH  EMS MANAGEMENT: Ask the Lord to grant the management of EMS sufficient grace and wisdom as they take decisions that will determine the direction the ministry will take in  the effort to spread the gospel.

SATURDAY 9TH EMS STAFF: Pray for the entire workforce of EMS, for grace and good health to be effective in the discharge of their individual duties and responsibilities for the propagation of the gospel. Pray that they will always remember the  weight of the calling and conduct themselves in a manner that will reflect Christ.

SUNDAY 10TH  SUPPORTERS/PARTNERS: Praise God for the many individuals, groups, churches and organizations that He is using to support  and partner with EMS to spread the gospel. Ask the Lord bless them abundantly and give them the grace to remain committed to this partnership.

MONDAY 11TH EMS SCHOOLS: Praise God for the progress of the EMS Children Schools as well as the Field Mission Schools over the years and for the wisdom to initiate the idea in the first place. They have proved to be viable tools for spreading the gospel to unreached people groups.

TUESDAY 12TH  EMS WEEK OF PRAYER WEEK: The EMS Week of Prayer comes up from the 25th of April to the 1st of May, 2022. Pray that the period will be a time of  reawakening on the need for all ECWA members to be involved in missions in order to fulfil the mandate of the Great Commission. Pray that the activities of the week will have a profound impact on our efforts to spread the gospel.

WEDNESDAY 13TH SOUTH WEST SATURATION CAMPAIGN: Pray that God will grant us wisdom and utterance as we witness to the multitudes of people in these areas. Ask the Lord to open the hearts of as many people who will hear the message of this outreach and cause a great harvest of souls for His kingdom.

THURSDAY 14TH  EMS GOLDEN SUPPORT: The EMS Golden Supporter Funding Initiative, which kicked off last year 2021, is yet to achieve the desired outcomes. Pray that the initiative will gain more traction and acceptability  ECWA members and even non ECWA members so that the objectives of the initiative will be achieved.

WEEK THREE – FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7

 FRIDAY 15TH  EMS GOLDEN SUPPORT: Pray that all the people that signed up for the Golden Support will be reminded to redeem their pledges, doing so will bring about an increase in funding for EMS, this will in turn enable EMS to continue to implement initiatives and strategies that are geared towards the propagation of the gospel.

SATURDAY 16TH  EMS MEDICAL UNIT: Praise God for the positive impact of the clinics in the ministry of EMS, the services provided in the clinics provide great opportunities to reach out to many with the gospel especially those who are suffering from various health challenges. Ask the Lord to continue to lead the clinic staff to minister Christ to all those who will need medical help from them.

SUNDAY 17TH  EMS SCHOOLS: Ask the Lord to open doors for funds to complete infrastructural projects started in the different EMS schools all over the country in order to facilitate the realization of the overall objectives of establishing the schools, which is to reach as many people children especially, by  giving them access to education as a means through which they can come to know the Lord.

MONDAY 18TH SOUTH WEST OUTREACH AND SATURATION CAMPAIGN: Pray for the smooth running of the logistics, the equipment and safety  in travel as we embark on this epic journey to evangelize the unreached peoples of some parts of South Western Nigeria.

TUESDAY 19TH SOUTH WEST OUTREACH AND SATURATION CAMPAIGN: Pray that our target of planting 100 Churches will be met. Pray that we don’t miss out on any opportunity that presents itself until we exhaust every means available in our effort to reach these groups of people with the gospel.

WEDNESDAY 20TH   FAR NORTH WEST: Praise God for the release of Luka Karma, one of our missionaries serving in Irana Kebbi DCC, he was kidnapped from his house. But God intervened and he was released by his abductors.

THURSDAY 21ST  EMS WIDOWS: Three EMS Widows have been gifted sewing/design machines, courtesy of our Spiritual Mothers in Ministry (The umbrella body of ECWA Pastors’ Wives) presently led by the wife of the ECWA president. Praise God for this gift and pray that it will add value to these widows, their children and the church at large.

FRIDAY 22ND    NORTH CENTRAL REGION: Chinke Mission Field in Miango DCC, is in dire need of clean and safe drinking water. They presently get water from a pond, which contaminated and unsafe. Pray that God will provide a better source of drinkable water.

   WEEK 4 FOCUS IS ON CROSS-BORDERS MISSION FIELDS

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 29:12

SATURDAY 23RD   SIERRA LEONE: Pray for the Josephs, who have arrived in Sierra Leone, their home country, after quite a long period of studies in Nigeria. As they begin the task spreading the gospel in the country and also establishing ECWA there, ask God to grant them wisdom, grace, good  health and divine favour to be effective in ministry.

 SUNDAY 24TH  MALI: After successfully undergoing orientation and  being ordained, the Kwanas  will soon set foot in the Republic of Mali to continue with the ministry of EMS of ECWA there. As they begin the task spreading the gospel in the country, ask God to grant them wisdom, grace, good  health and divine favour to be effective in ministry and through their efforts multitudes will come to the knowledge of God’s saving grace.

SATURDAY 25TH  SIERRA LEONE: As EMS sets to begin ministry in Sierra Leone, ask the Lord to  open up the hearts of the people and illuminate the dark areas in their lives and cause them to be receptive to the message of the gospel and prepare them for the great harvest.

SUNDAY 26TH  GAMBIA: As the EMS Mission in the Gambia plans to embark on a project of faith to build a mission house in the Gambia in order to reduce the burden of paying rent, ask the Lord to open doors for the funds needed to start this project and bring it to completion through his mighty power.

MONDAY 27TH NIGER REPUBLIC: Pray for new converts, Annas and Hammadou, ask the Lord to grant them grace and strong conviction to stand firm in the faith and courage to publicly profess Christ without fear.

TUESDAY 28TH KENYA: Kenya is a Mission hub and in spite of the enormity of mission presence throughout history, there is still so much nominalism and a growing number of people of other faiths – evangelicalism has also lost it place, giving way to health and wealth gospel in every street corner, a fallout of Nigerian gospel prosperity craze. Pray that the people of Kenya will witness a genuine transformation through our ministry efforts in the country.

WENESDAY 29TH F ZAMBIA: Ask the Lord to open doors for funds needed for the purchase of church lands in Zambia as we keep losing members due to lack of church lands and buildings and for God’s provision towards meeting urgent ministry needs in Zambia.

.THURSDAY 30TH  KENYA: EMS has acquired 3 new lands with the view to planting new Mission Fields. These properties are located in Daystar, Kitengela, Mulolongo Phase 5. Plans are underway to acquire a land in another part of Utawala. Ask the Lord to open doors for funds to enable us accomplish these mission goals for the Kenyan Mission.

FRIDAY 31ST  BURKINA FASO: Praise God for the overall progress of the ministry of EMS in Burkina Faso. Ask the Lord to open doors for funds needed for the purchase of land for the building of ECWA Burkina Faso headquarters. This is a crucial need that if met, will immensely boost the progress of the work of missions in the country.
